Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Panthers have signed veteran
punter Nick Harris.
Harris punted in 11 games for the Jaguars last season. Jacksonville then
released Harris after taking punter Bryan Anger in the third round of the 2012
NFL Draft.
Harris will compete with Brad Nortman after the Panthers selected the
Wisconsin product in the sixth round of this year's draft.
In 170 career games with the Bengals, Lions and Jaguars, Harris has averaged
42.5 yards per punt. He hasn't had a punt blocked since 2004.
