Tampa, FL-- The Bucs opened summer Organized Team Activites, or OTA's, on Tuesday. There are 12 more before training camp.
Three players the Tuesday workout... Kellen Winslow, Brian Price, and Dezmon Briscoe. But these OTA's are voluntary.
Head Coach Greg Schiano said the offense worked on specific things, like first and second downs, and red zone offense. He said the new schemes are 80% installed.
A slimmed-down Josh Freeman is impressed with the new offense so far.
"There are so many different ways this offense can go," Freeman said after the workout. "We'll continue to act, continue to get better, and continue to find ways to make plays and score points."
Veteran Ronde Barber worked almost exclusively at safety, after 15 years at cornerback.
