Metairie, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Saints signed cornerback
Elbert Mack to a one-year contract on Tuesday.
Mack spent the first four years of his career in Tampa Bay after signing as an
undrafted free agent in 2008. He appeared in 58 games, including four starts,
with the Buccaneers over that span and recorded 89 tackles with five
interceptions.
Last season Mack appeared in all 16 contests, starting one, and finished with
29 tackles and two interceptions -- one returned for a touchdown.
Also on Tuesday, the Saints waived defensive tackle Mitch King.
