Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars and kicker Josh
Scobee have reportedly agreed to a long-term contract.
According to The Florida Times-Union, the two sides have reached an agreement
on a four-year deal, beating the Monday afternoon deadline for teams to work
out long-term pacts with franchised players.
Scobee's franchise offer was worth $2.88 million for the 2012 season.
The 30-year-old Scobee has spent each of his eight seasons with the Jaguars
and last year made all but two of his 25 field goal tries and connected on
each of his 24 extra-point attempts to finish with 93 points. He also
connected on a career-best five field goals of 50 yards or longer.
