Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat announced on Thursday that they
have signed forwards Rodney Carney and Robert Dozier.
Carney split time with the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies in
2011-12, logging a total of 27 games. Originally selected 16th overall by the
Philadelphia 76ers in the 2006 NBA Draft, Carney has appeared in 299 career
games, averaging 5.9 points and two rebounds per contest.
Dozier was originally drafted by Miami in 2009, but has never appeared in an
NBA game. He spent last season in France playing for Cholet Basket and
averaged 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 22 games.
