2014 NFL schedule has Bucs opening season with 2 home games

Tampa, Florida -- The 2014 NFL schedule has the Bucs opening and closing the season with back-to-back home games.

They open at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, Sep. 7 against the Carolina Panthers, with a 4:25 p.m. kickoff. Week 2 has the Bucs hosting the St. Louis Rams at 4 p.m. on Sep. 14.

The Bucs have one prime-time game at Atlanta against the Falcons on Thursday, Sep. 18, at 8:25 p.m. They're not scheduled for a Sunday night or a Monday night game.

Flex scheduling comes into play in Weeks 5-17 for Sunday afternoon games.

The Bucs have a run of three straight road games in late September and early October. They also have two sets of back-to-back road games.

The Bucs and head coach Lovie Smith will return to Chicago to play Lovie's old team, the Bears, on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Three of the Bucs' games will be broadcast on CBS 10 News: at the Falcons, Thur. Sep 18; home to the Ravens, Sun. Oct. 12; and home to the Bengals, Sun. 30.
