Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - New Jersey Devils sniper Ilya Kovalchuk was
back on the ice for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against
Philadelphia on Thursday.
Kovalchuk sat out Game 2 on Tuesday, which the Devils won, 4-1, to even the
best-of-seven series after dropping the opener. He was out with a lower body
injury.
In 77 games during the regular season, he led the Devils with 37 goals and 83
points.
Over eight playoff games in this postseason, he has three goals and three
assists.
