St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild signed forwards Zenon
Konopka and Torrey Mitchell on Sunday.
Konopka's deal is good for two years and Mitchell signed for three seasons.
Konopka has played seven seasons with the Ducks, Blue Jackets, Islanders,
Lightning and Senators. In 250 career games, he has scored 11 goals and has 16
helpers in addition to picking up 877 penalty minutes. Konopka, a faceoff
specialist, won 58.9 percentage of his draws last season.
In four seasons with the San Jose Sharks, Mitchell scored 30 goals and racked
up 43 assists. Last season, he netted nine goals and set up 10 others.
