Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes signed free agent forward
Steve Sullivan on Wednesday to a one-year contract.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but multiple reports say it's worth
$1.85 million.
"We are very pleased to welcome Steve to the Coyotes," said Phoenix general
manager Don Maloney. "Steve is an intelligent player who adds skill to our
lineup and will help improve our power play. He is a great addition to our
roster."
Sullivan totaled 17 goals and 48 points in 79 regular-season games, adding six
points in six playoff appearances for the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
Since breaking into the NHL with New Jersey in 1996, the 37-year-old Ontario
native has compiled 283 goals and 730 points over 969 games while skating for
the Devils, Maple Leafs, Blackhawks, Predators and Penguins.
