Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara has signed a
deal with HC Lev Prague of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League.
That's according to CSN New England, which confirmed on Tuesday that the
hulking defenseman will arrive in time to suit up for games this weekend.
The 35-year-old native of Slovakia posted 12 goals and 52 points in 79
regular-season games for Boston last year, adding three points in a seven-
game, first-round loss to Washington.
Chara will join a club which has already welcomed Detroit Red Wings forward
Jiri Hudler and Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek.
