(Detroit Free Press) - Detroit Red Wings prospect Riley Sheahan reportedly had a blood-alcohol content of .30 when he was arrested Oct. 29 by Grand Rapids Police on charges of "super drunk" driving and giving false information.
The 20-year old, playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins, also was carrying teammate Brendan Smith's Michigan driver's license and wearing a purple Teletubby costume when he was pulled over shortly before midnight in downtown Grand Rapids, according to MLive.com, which obtained the details of the arrest through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The police report says Sheahan, the No. 21 overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, was driving the wrong way on Ottawa Avenue NW, near Pearl Street, in a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and was carrying Smith's ID in the license window of his wallet.
Police asked Sheahan if he was carrying the 23-year-old Smith's ID to get into bars and said he said "yea," according to the report. There was no word on how Sheahan obtained Smith's ID. The Wings drafted Smith with their top pick in the 2007 draft.
Sheahan was treated at Saint Mary's Health Care for his high blood-alcohol content before he was taken back to Kent County Jail. He is charged under the state's new "super drunk" distinction for having a blood-alcohol content higher than .17, a charge that can "carry up to 180 days in jail with a conviction and possible deportation because he is not a U.S. citizen,"according to MLive.
Sheahan was the Red Wings' top pick in the 2010 draft. He joined the Griffins, the Wings' minor-league affiliate, earlier this year, and has three goals and two assists in 15 games this season.
The Red Wings were made aware of the arrest and are monitoring the situation.
