Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Adam Henrique and Bobby Butler each netted a
power-play goal in the third period to lift the New Jersey Devils over the
Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-1, in the opener of a home-and-home set at Prudential
Center. Stefan Matteau also lit the lamp, while Ilya Kovalchuk and Andy
Greene added two assists apiece for the Devils, who have won four straight.
Martin Brodeur stopped 24 shots. Brandon Sutter supplied the offense for
Pittsburgh, which saw its five-game win streak come to an end. Marc-Andre
Fleury made 25 saves in defeat.

overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win over the Carolina
Hurricanes on Saturday. Nik Grossman sent a lead pass from his zone down the
left wing and Briere took it into the Carolina zone. He cut to the front of
the net and snapped a shot that hit off the left post, then went off the
back of Cam Ward before trickling in. Brayden Schenn and Jakub Voracek
posted a goal and an assist while Matt Read also scored for the Flyers, who
went 3-0-1 on a four-game road trip. Ilya Bryzgalov gave up three goals on
33 shots in the win. Joe Corvo posted a goal and an assist and Jiri Tlusty
and Jeff Skinner each lit the lamp for the Hurricanes, who had won three
of four. Ward posted 28 stops.

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Al Montoya stopped 33 shots to record his third
career shutout and lead the Winnipeg Jets past the Ottawa Senators, 1-0, at
Scotiabank Place. Alexei Ponikarovsky netted the game's lone goal for
Winnipeg, which won for the second time in three games. Ben Bishop made 36
saves in a losing effort for the Senators, who have dropped two straight and
four of their last five overall.

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Niklas Kronwall scored the winner in the third
period to help the Detroit Red Wings to a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on
Saturday. Pavel Datsyuk posted a goal and an assist while Jimmy Howard made 23
saves for the Red Wings, who have won their past two and four of six. Nikolai
Khabibulin made 28 stops and Justin Schultz had the lone goal of the game for
the Oilers, who have dropped their past five games.

San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Mikkel Boedker scored the winner in the
shootout as the Phoenix Coyotes clipped the San Jose Sharks, 1-0, on Saturday.
After Michal Handzus was stopped by Mike Smith, Boedker skated in on net and
faked to the backhand before lifting it over a sprawled-out Antti Niemi. Smith
then kept out James Sheppard's wrister before Radim Vrbata sealed the win by
beating Niemi with the same fake and shot as Boedker. Smith made 33 saves to
post his second shutout of the season and 21st of his career for the Coyotes,
who have won three of their last four games. Niemi made 21 stops for his
20th career shutout and first of the season for the Sharks, who have dropped
four straight after opening the season with seven straight wins.

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - James Reimer made 37 saves for his seventh
career shutout and the Toronto Maple Leafs used a well-balanced offensive
attack in a 6-0 rout of the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Phil Kessel had a
goal and two assists for the Maple Leafs, who have won three in a row for the
first time since Feb. 1-6 of last season. James van Riemsdyk and Dion
Phaneuf each added a goal and an assist, while Leo Komarov, Tyler Bozak and
Korbinian Holzer also lit the lamp. Toronto improved to 2-0 against the
Canadiens this season. The Leafs won at Montreal by a 2-1 score on Jan. 19.
Carey Price stopped 21-of-27 shots for the Canadiens, who have lost three
straight.

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Alexander Sulzer scored the go-ahead goal in
the third period and Ryan Miller delivered a stellar performance in net,
enabling the Buffalo Sabres to come through with a 3-2 win over the slumping
New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. Miller recorded 41 saves, as well as
a game-saving stop of John Tavares on a penalty shot with 3:53 left to
play, as Buffalo earned its second straight victory despite being outshot by
a 43-15 margin on the night. Thomas Vanek contributed to the triumph with
his league-leading 11th goal of the season along with an assist. Christian
Ehrhoff also tallied a goal for the Sabres and Cody Hodgson added a pair of
assists.

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Troy Brouwer scored twice and Braden Holtby
stopped 27 shots to notch his fourth career shutout, as the Washington
Capitals crushed the Florida Panthers, 5-0, in the opener of a home-and-home
series on Saturday at Verizon Center. Joel Ward and Mathieu Perreault each
registered a goal and an assist, while Alex Ovechkin also lit the lamp for
the Capitals, who snapped a three-game slide. Florida goaltender Jose
Theodore was pulled midway through the third period after giving up all
five goals on just 21 shots as the Panthers lost for the second time in their
last three games.

St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - Devin Setoguchi scored the game-winner with 39
seconds left in overtime to lift the Minnesota Wild to a 2-1 triumph over the
Nashville Predators on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center. Cal Clutterbuck also
the lit the lamp, while Ryan Suter added a pair of assists to help the
Wild snap a three-game skid. Niklas Backstrom stopped 25 shots, including 12
in the third period, to earn the victory. Chris Mason saved 30-of-32 shots
for the Predators, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.
Paul Gaustad scored the lone Nashville goal, but was called for a
controversial hand pass in the faceoff circle at the 2:48 mark of overtime to
set up Setoguchi's power-play tally.

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Nick Bonino scored the game-winning goal in
the sixth round of the shootout to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 6-5 comeback
victory over the struggling St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. Bobby
Ryan totaled two goals and two assists in regulation for Anaheim, which
battled back from a 3-1 deficit after one period to bounce back from Friday's
3-1 loss at Dallas. Teemu Selanne registered three helpers in addition to a
goal, with Saku Koivu contributing a goal and an assist to the rally. Viktor
Fasth made 26 saves through the first three periods and overtime, then
turned aside three of St. Louis' six skaters in the shootout to improve to
5-0-0 on the season and help the Ducks notch their fifth win in six games.
Alexander Steen and Chris Stewart each had a goal and two assists in the loss,
St. Louis' fourth in a row (0-3-1), while David Backes finished with a goal
and an assist.

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Saturday's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning
and Boston Bruins at TD Garden has been postponed due to the blizzard that has
crippled the New England area. A makeup date has yet to be announced. The
