Ilya Bryzgalov gave up three goals on 33 shots in the win. Joe Corvo posted a goal and an assist and Jiri Tlusty and Jeff Skinner each lit the lamp for the Hurricanes, who had won three of four. San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Mikkel Boedker scored the winner in the shootout as the Phoenix Coyotes clipped the San Jose Sharks, 1-0, on Saturday. After Michal Handzus was stopped by Mike Smith, Boedker skated in on net and faked to the backhand before lifting it over a sprawled-out Antti Niemi. Smith then kept out James Sheppard's wrister before Radim Vrbata sealed the win by beating Niemi with the same fake and shot as Boedker. Smith made 33 saves to post his second shutout of the season and 21st of his career for the Coyotes, who have won three of their last four games. Niemi made 21 stops for his 20th career shutout and first of the season for the Sharks, who have dropped four straight after opening the season with seven straight wins.

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - James Reimer made 37 saves for his seventh career shutout and the Toronto Maple Leafs used a well-balanced offensive attack in a 6-0 rout of the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Phil Kessel had a goal and two assists for the Maple Leafs, who have won three in a row for the first time since Feb. 1-6 of last season. James van Riemsdyk and Dion Phaneuf each added a goal and an assist, while Leo Komarov, Tyler Bozak and Korbinian Holzer also lit the lamp. Toronto improved to 2-0 against the Canadiens this season. The Leafs won at Montreal by a 2-1 score on Jan. 19. Carey Price stopped 21-of-27 shots for the Canadiens, who have lost three straight.

Miller recorded 41 saves, as well as a game-saving stop of John Tavares on a penalty shot with 3:53 left to play, as Buffalo earned its second straight victory despite being outshot by a 43-15 margin on the night. St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Nick Bonino scored the game-winning goal in the sixth round of the shootout to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 6-5 comeback victory over the struggling St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. Bobby Ryan totaled two goals and two assists in regulation for Anaheim, which battled back from a 3-1 deficit after one period to bounce back from Friday's 3-1 loss at Dallas. Teemu Selanne registered three helpers in addition to a goal, with Saku Koivu contributing a goal and an assist to the rally. Viktor Fasth made 26 saves through the first three periods and overtime, then turned aside three of St. Louis' six skaters in the shootout to improve to 5-0-0 on the season and help the Ducks notch their fifth win in six games.
