ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Tampa Bay rookie right fielder Wil Myers has left Game 3 of the AL division series against Boston because of cramping in both legs.
Myers took an awkward swing on a foul ball in the seventh inning and grabbed the area around the left calf Monday night.
Myers limped back to the dugout after striking out for the third out. He went to right field after the inning, then headed back to the infield and was met by a team trainer.
The team said Myers received IV fluids.
Myers exited with the score tied at 3. Boston led the best-of-five series 2-0.
Matt Joyce, the Rays' designated hitter, replaced Myers in right.
