Tampa, FL -- Despite a 7-game losing streak, including a 41-14 loss on Sunday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said Monday he is not worried about being fired.

"I try and tell guys all the time if I was worried about being fired I certainly would not be coaching," Morris said. "When you're coaching, you are always on the hot seat, that's the mentality of what we do."

Morris has compiled a record of 17-28 since taking over the Bucs and has one year remaining on his current contract. He's set to earn $2 million next season, but reportedly could get up to $3.5 million through incentives.

Many fans have speculated the Bucs would not fire Morris because the team's owners have been paying off former head coach Jon Gruden's contract. But the $15 million the team owed Gruden when they fired him in 2008 will be paid off following this season.

The Bucs next game will be at home Saturday night.

"Make no secrets about it, we're not going into the Dallas Cowboys game not to get fired, we're going into the game to win. Period," Morris said.
