Tampa, FL-- The National Hockey League cancelled four of the Lightning's seven preseason games today. Cancelled home games include Wednesday, September 26 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and Thursday, September 27 at Amway Center in Orlando.
In addition, the Lightning today announced that their training camp, originally scheduled to begin Friday, September 21 at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum, has been postponed. The team will announce future training camp plans at an appropriate time.
The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL.
