New York, NY (Sports Network) - FC Dallas forward Blas Perez was suspended one match and fined an undisclosed amount Tuesday for endangering the safety of an opponent.

Perez elbowed Vancouver Whitecaps FC's Jordan Harvey in the first half Saturday and the Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee handed out the punishment.

FC Dallas will be without Perez, the team's leading scorer with three goals and three assists, when it hosts Real Salt Lake on Wednesday.
