New York, NY (Sports Network) - Chris Wondolowski became the second straight San Jose Earthquakes player to earn MLS Player of the Week honors as he scored three times in two games to claim the Week 9 honor.

Earthquakes forward Steven Lenhart won the award last week, and Wondolowski won it after scoring two goals in a 5-3 midweek victory against D.C. United before he tallied the lone goal in a 2-1 defeat against Vancouver over the weekend.
