Commerce City, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids waived forward Quincy
Amarikwa, midfielder Ross LaBauex and defender Eddie Ababio on Thursday night.
Amarikwa joined the Rapids from the San Jose Earthquakes in 2010 and played 31
games and had three goals and an assist. LaBauex was selected in the 2010 MLS
SuperDraft and made 18 regular-season appearances. Ababio was selected in the
first round of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft and made one playoff appearance.
"We would like to thank Quincy, Ross and Eddie for their service to the club,
and we wish all three players the very best going forward," Colorado Technical
Director Paul Bravo said.
Colorado hosts the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
