Chester, PA (Sports Network) - Sporting Kansas City defender Aurelien Collin
suffered two facial fractures in the MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday night and
will be sidelined one to two weeks, the MLS club said Thursday.
Collin, 26, started the MLS All-Star Game against Chelsea, but was injured in
a collision with Michael Essien in the first half. Collin left the game at PPL
Park in Chester, Pa., after 36 minutes. The MLS won, 3-2.
He has started all 21 matches for Sporting this season. Kansas City has posted
nine shutouts and an MLS-leading 0.90 goals against average. Collin has three
goals and one assist this season.
Kansas City hosts the Columbus Crew on Saturday.
