Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Dynamo have completed a deal to add
midfielder Ricardo Clark, who previously played for the club from 2006-09.
Clark, 29, joined Germany club Eintracht in 2010 but made just 15 appearances.
He joined Norway's Stabaek on loan in February and was later cut by Eintracht.
"We have been able to conclude a deal to bring Ricardo Clark back to Houston
and making him a member of the Dynamo once again," said Dynamo president Chris
Canetti, according to the MLS website.
Clark made 97 appearances and helped the club win back-to-back MLS Cup titles
in 2006 and 2007. He agreed to terms to return to Houston last week, and final
paperwork and an international transfer certificate were completed Thursday.
Capped 34 times for the United States, Clark returns to the Dynamo on a deal
through the 2014 year. He will officially join the roster when defender Geoff
Cameron completes a transfer to English club Stoke City.
"We never wanted to lose Ricardo in the first place," Canetti said.
