Bridgeview, IL (Sports Network) - Chris Rolfe scored twice at Toyota Park on
Saturday to help the Chicago Fire rally from one goal down in a 2-1 defeat of
the Columbus Crew.
The Crew went in front in the 15th minute following a giveaway from Sean
Johnson. The Chicago goalkeeper attempted a pass out of the back that was
picked off by Jairo Arrieta and promptly slotted into the empty net.
It didn't take Chicago long to overturn the deficit though, as Rolfe bagged
two goals in the span of three minutes.
Rolfe leveled the score in the 23rd minute, latching on to a through ball from
Sherjill MacDonald and calmly slotting a shot past Andy Gruenebaum.
The Fire striker put the home side in front shortly after, taking a pass from
Patrick Nyarko and chipping a shot over Gruenebaum from outside the box.
Chicago (16-8-5) is the hottest team in MLS at the moment, grabbing its
seventh win in its last eight games to move to within two points of first-
place Sporting Kansas City while holding a game in hand.
Columbus (13-11-6) remains one point shy of a playoff position, suffering its
third loss from its last four games.
