Tampa, Florida - An offensive tackle who used to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was arrested in Tampa on Saturday.

Police say Cornell Green -- who now plays for the Oakland Raiders -- got into a heated argument with the mother of his two children at their home in Tampa Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Green destroyed property and physically assaulted Teriyonal Flowers by slamming her into a wall. He also allegedly grabbed an aluminum mop and struck Flowers at least one time on her right arm. Green then left the home in his own vehicle.

Police apprehended Green at Tampa International Airport, where he was booked on a flight heading to Oakland.

Green was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with one count of Aggravated Battery / Domestic Violence.

Green, who was born in St. Petersburg, had two stints playing for the Bucs, including the team's 2002 championship season.
