Strasbourg, France (Sports Network) - Former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone was an easy quarterfinal victor, while three-time Strasbourg titlist Anabel Medina Garrigues was sent packing Thursday at the $220,000 Strasbourg International tennis event, a final clay-court French Open tune-up.

The second-seeded 2010 French Open champ and 2011 Roland Garros runner-up Schiavone drilled Swede Johanna Larsson 6-0, 6-3, while French wild card Alize Cornet upended the fourth-seeded Medina Garrigues 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-5) at Strasbourg Tennis Club.

Medina Garrigues captured titles here in 2005, 2007 and 2008.

Schiavone's semifinal opponent on Friday will be promising American Sloane Stephens, who handled Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-3, 6-4 on Day 4.

Meanwhile, Pauline Parmentier set-up an all-French semi with Cornet by whipping Russian qualifier Alexandra Panova 6-3, 6-3.

The 2012 Strasbourg champ will collect $37,000.
