Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Jantel Lavender scored 19 points and
grabbed 12 boards to lead the Los Angeles Sparks to an 84-73 win over the
Tulsa Shock.
Ticha Penicheiro added 13 points and seven assists, while Kristi Toliver had
12 points for the Sparks, who have already been eliminated from playoff
contention.
Andrea Riley and Liz Cambage each scored 18 points, but could not prevent the
Shock from falling to 3-30 on the season, marking the most losses for a WNBA
team since the Atlanta Dream went 4-30 in 2008. No WNBA team has ever finished
with more than 30 losses in a single season.
Tulsa, which lost a league-record 20 straight games earlier in the year,
closes the season on Sunday against San Antonio.
