Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Dream re-signed forward Sancho
Lyttle to a multi-year contract on Friday.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lyttle was the fifth overall selection by the Houston Comets in the 2005 draft
and played four seasons with Houston before being selected by the Dream in the
2008 dispersal draft.
A two-time WNBA All-Defensive Second Team selection, Lyttle averaged 10.0
points and 6.3 rebounds this season while leading the league with 2.4 steals
per game.
"We are happy a player of her caliber is excited to re-sign here," said Dream
general manager and head coach Marynell Meadors. "Sancho is a great player and
she's been a huge reason for our success."
Atlanta finished the regular season with a 20-14 record and will open the
playoffs Friday against the second-seeded Connecticut Sun.
