Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - The Shock entered the night with the worst record
in the WNBA, but that didn't stop Riquna Williams and the rest of the Tulsa
squad from downing the Los Angeles Sparks.
Williams scored a game-high 27 points off the bench, leading Tulsa in a 91-75
victory, only its second of the season in 13 games.
Ivory Latta added 21 points and eight assists, while Temeka Johnson and Amber
Holt each had 11 points for the Shock.
Kristi Toliver scored 21 to lead the Sparks, who still sit in second place in
the West at 10-5. Nneka Ogwumike added 12 points, while April Sykes had 11.
Candace Parker scored only two points, by far her lowest total of the season.
Tulsa led by as many as 27 in the rout, trailing only early in the opening
quarter. The Sparks won the fourth quarter by nine to make it seem closer it
actually was.
