Tampa, Florida -- Busch Gardens opened up it's newest area "Pantopia" Thursday.
The new area was a redesign of the park's Timbuktu area and features a jewel-themed area with a renovated theater, new bakery and snack spots. It also celebrates the spirit of animals, welcomes adventurers from the four corners of the Earth, explores ancient lore, and displays fantastic architecture.
The centerpiece of the new area, Falcon's Fury, was supposed to open today, but a few weeks back the park pushed back the opening. No official date has yet been released as the park continues to test the ride and "fine tune" it.
For those of you who are curious as to what the ride will look like as a passenger, Busch Gardens released video showing the view from atop the 335-foot drop tower. Once at the top, the seats tilt forward so riders are looking straight down as they fall 60 mph toward the ground.
