Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have again employed a clever strategy to harness their own celebrity and the relentless stare of photographers to promote good causes.

Dining at a New York restaurant on Wednesday, the duo noticed the gathering paps outside and pulled out hand-made signs to hold over their faces after exiting the eatery.

"Good morning, we were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside," her sign read. "We don't need the attention but these wonderful organizations do!"

Her sign pointed to his sign, which listed four charity organizations, including youthmentoring.org and austismspeaks.org.

Even relentlessly cynical BuzzFeed was impressed with their tactic. "Seriously, the best."

They've done it before, as BuzzFeed noted. In September 2012, they distracted the pap pack with signs over their faces promoting charities Worldwide Orphans Foundation and Gilda's Club of New York City.

Kudos all around.
