His photo has been all over the Internet since his mug shot went viral last month, resulting in tons of memes and posts about his potential to be a model.
Controversy quickly sprung up over the ethics of giving him this type of fame and recognition since he is a criminal — who happens to have gorgeous blue eyes. Gina Rodriguez, Meeks' new agent, certainly believes he is deserving.
She says she understands that "everyone is reporting on how he's a criminal, and he doesn't deserve [fame], and he's got this past gang affiliation, but that's just it — that's the key word, that's his past," according to FoxNews.com. "I think that if he has a chance to have an amazing career, and change his life for his family, that's the ultimate rags-to-riches story," she said.
This isn't the first time Rodriguez has taken on a client with a complicated past. Fox News reports she has "guided the careers of Teen Mom-star-turned-porn-star Farrah Abraham, Nadya 'Octomom' Suleman, and most recently, V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of theDonald Sterling scandal."
So what's the difference between those clients and Meeks? They are free people … and he's being held in the San Joaquin County Jail on 11 felony counts at $1.1 million for bail. Might be a little crowded for the kick-off party.
