In this exclusive bonus clip, 'Spring Breakers' director Harmony Korine talks about the real life party moments which were so 'graphic' that they didn't make it into the final cut.
The party scenes in Spring Breakers made a public splash this spring, depicting Disney-fave actresses Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens partying like crazy in bikinis.
In truth, director Harmony Korine said, the actual parties he filmed were even more intense. They were so intense that he couldn't show everything onscreen in the controversial R-rated movie released this March.
"In the party scenes a lot of things got really graphic," says Korine in this exclusive clip from the DVD/Blu-Ray release on July 9. "There were things I couldn't even show in the film that were probably crazy for (the actresses) to see."
Sometimes the actresses, which included Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, would be surprised and nervous about what they were seeing in the real partying.

But that was helpful in Korine's mind for the twisted coming-of-age story, especially for Gomez's innocent character.
"A lot of times when the main actresses were uncomfortable during the shoot, I thought it was okay since it mimicked the story line," said Korine. "Their characters at that point would be that way. Especially Selena's character."
Hudgens praises Korine's work, which was a clear step away from her carefully scripted High School Musical character.
"He would allow us to play and be like actors," said Hudgens. "We didn't have to stick to the page."
