Tampa, Florida --It's almost that time Tampa Bay. We're a little more than four months away from the start of the Republican National Convention which is expected to draw more than 50,000 people to our area.
The Tampa Bay Host Committee needs you to help welcome all those people to our area.
It's not about being a Republican, Democrat, or Independent...it's about loving Tampa Bay and wanting to show it off.
"Ultimately what we want, when visitors come and see what a unique area we have in Tampa Bay, our beaches, our strong arts and cultural community, our sports teams, our business, we want them to come back," said Rita Wesley, with the Tampa Bay Host Committee.
The Tampa Bay Host Committee is still recruiting volunteers to help welcome Convention visitors at the airports and hotels, assist in setting up events, and help people find their way around town.
So far, the Host Committee has been able to recruit 40% of the 7,500 volunteers they need.

There wasan initial push for volunteers in February, dubbed "the faces of Tampa Bay". You can expect another push next month.
Volunteers will recieve training and a uniform, which will likely be a t-shirt.
"It's a great opportunity for our volunteers to network, to showcase the community they love and to also show the world because the world will be watching what's happening in the Tampa Bay area," said Wesley.
Wesley says volunteers will not only assist Convention related visitors, they'll also have an opportunity to give back to their community.
Volunteers will be able to take part in canned food drives for a free clinic in St. Petersburg and volunteer with Rebuilding Together in Hillsborough County.
To volunteer, you must be 18 years old by June 1st, have a valid driver's license or government issued photo ID and agree to a background check.
The Tampa Bay Host Committee will be recruiting volunteers through July.
Remember, it's not about your political party affiliation or political views. It's about showing off the community you love.
