SKOWHEGAN, Maine(NEWS CENTER)- Three women police say burst into a Skowhegan apartment where they beat a woman with their fists and threatened her boyfriend with a baseball bat have been arrested.

MUGSHOTS: 3 arrested in home invasion

Deputy Chief Dan Summers says the suspects went to an apartment in town just before midnight Monday, apparently angered about a related theft.

Summers says they banged on the door with a bat and rushed in when the woman opened it. He says that she was then grabbed by the throat, thrown againsta wall and beaten.

"I've never heard of a gang of three woman doing something of this nature," said Summers. "Something of this violent nature."

Arrested were 33-year-old Stacey Lynn Robinson; 28-year-old Kristina Santamore; and 34-year-old Brandy St. Pierre. It was not clear if they had lawyers.
