BUXTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- When you're diagnosed with any form of cancer there are so many questions, and suddenly you're sent to a number of different appointments; there are all sorts of treatments, and the last thing you want to do is deal with red tape from your insurance company.

In this special buddy to buddy report, NEWS CENTER's Amanda Hill sat down with breast cancer survivor, Jean Harmon, to talk about her experience with the disease, how being a public figure in the town of Buxton added pressure to her battle, how she learned to navigate the complicated world of health insurance,and the up-coming Susan G. Komen race for the cure.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be held in Portland on September 8th and in Bangor on September 15th.
