Inland locations south of Tampa will see an increase in rain chances Thursday. Easterly winds will increase humidity. A low pressure area nearJamaicawill track across Cuba Thursday and head toward the Bahamas. We will be on the dry side of the circulation but it will allow for convergent winds andmoisturepooling over the southern half of the state. This is why Sarasota, Highlands, Glades, and Charlotte counties stand the best chance for showers the next several days. The National Hurricane Center says there is a 0% chance of this system developing in the next 48 hours.

The Memorial Day weekend is looking pretty good and fairly typical with highs near 90 and afternoon rain chances 30-40%. Don't worry, it won't be a rain out, but we will see a return of those afternoon showers and storms.
