WATERVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers is hoping for a lot of last minute donations this week for their Christmas Program.

Each year they collect clothing, toys, gloves, coats and books for about 1,600 children throughout the state. This year, they've taken on 100 more kids than usual, and are having trouble filling bins with donations.

Volunteers need complete outfits for boys and girls from size 5-18 and large item toysto help fill up the boxes by Friday.

Donations can be dropped off at the Maine Children's Home in Waterville at 93 Silver Street.
