(USA TODAY) -- Fans and critics are chiming in about little Southern darling Honey Boo Boo Child -- real name Alana Thompson, 6 -- in the wake of the two new episodes of her reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, that aired Wednesday night on TLC.
We got to see the family visit their local Redneck Games, where Honey's sister, Pumpkin, went bobbing for pigs' feet and her other sister, Chubbs, tried out mud belly-flop diving.
The AVClub calls it a "train wreck" and a "horror story."
The Washington Post wisecracked: "She's a Shirley Temple for this ceaseless Great Recession!"
Salon calls it an "exploitative mess," but a "fascinating" one.
Mom June told CNN on Wednesday: "People are going to talk, good and bad, and it is what it is," she said. "My family, we enjoy what we've done and I would do it again." Honey Boo Boo seconded that, saying, "It's fun."
Miranda Lambert seems to be a fan. She tweeted this morning: "And TLC wins again with another show I am hooked on:) " a dolla makes me holla honey boo boo"!"
While Lambert's hubby, Blake Shelton tweeted: "Just watched "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo"... And now here comes runny doo doo..."
