Clearwater, Florida -- The Red Cross is helping a family who lost part of their condo in a fire in Clearwater Beach Thursday morning.

Clearwater Fire Rescue says the fire was contained to the first floor bedroom and one of the residents was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

It took firefighters nearly 10 minutes to get the fire out in the early morning hours at the condo located in the 800 block of Gulfview Boulevard.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No other units were affected.
