WESTBROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- After a few more inches of snow, it was a great day to get outside. The City of Westbrook wrapped up its Winter West Festival today with the last of the sled dog races.

Races included categories from one dog all the way up to six.
It was the final event of the weekend, which also included ice skating, a frozen 5-K race, and horse drawn carriage rides.

People traveled from across New England to compete in the sled dog races. They say being out on the trails with the dogs is like nothing else.
