Roberto Gonzalez Broche, 26, has been charged with grand theft, burglary to a business, criminal mischief and tampering with evidence. Police said the trailers were stolen from Jeff Clay and Sons on John Young Parkway in Kissimmee at 3 a.m. on Monday.
According to a police release, a tip led authorities to the trailers, which were found Tuesday buried in the back yard of a home near Eola Drive and Manor Drive in Kissimmee.
Broche told authorities he didn't know when the world was going to end, but he wanted to prepare for it, according to Kissimmee police.
At Broche's house, officers also found a chopped up 2007 Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Orlando, and four additional trailers that were reported stolen out of Osceola County. Charges for the additional stolen items are pending.
Local 6 was there as Broche was taken to jail, where he didn't say much, muttering, "I just know it's coming."
Broche was taken to the Osceola County Jail, where he's being held on $5,2000 bond.
