Pinellas Park, FL-- Pinellas Park police officers are currently searching for the suspect involved in a bank robbery that occurred at approximately 10:32 this morning.

An unknown white male, described to be in his late 40's, reportedly entered the Chase Bank off of US Hwy 19 N., approached one of the tellers, implied that he was armed with a gun and robbed them by handing the teller a note.

After receiving a determined amount of cash, the suspect fled from the bank in an unknown direction, reports say.

A Pinellas Park Police K-9 Unit responded to the scene and conducted a ground search, but was unsuccessful in tracking down the suspect.

Police have provided the following description of the man they are looking for:

  • Race: White
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Late 40's
  • Height: 5'06" to 5'08"
  • Weight: approximately 215 lbs.
  • Last Seen Wearing: Eyeglass (possibly tinted), dark baseball cap (possible Harley Davidson logo on front), blue jean shorts, dark ankle socks and dark tennis shoes. The suspect was also wearing a cell phone on his right hip.
