Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The U.S. women's national soccer team added friendlies against Ireland in late November and early December on Thursday, as it continues its "Fan Tribute Tour."
The Americans host Ireland for the first time on Nov. 28 in Portland, Ore. and then again Dec. 1 in Glendale Ariz. The United States has defeated Ireland all eight times the countries have previously played.
The United States won its third successive Olympic gold this summer and fourth overall. The Americans have won all three matches on their tour, downing Costa Rica in its first match and Australia twice.
The tour continues later this month with two matches against Germany, which is ranked second in the world behind the United States. The first game is Oct. 20 in Bridgeview, Ill. and the second is Oct. 23 in East Hartford, Conn.
