Lakeland, Florida -- Polk County detectives have arrested one suspect in the murder of a Lakeland grandfather shot outside his home on Dec. 11. A search is also underway for a second suspect, Ladarius Demario Glover, who is still at large.

After interviewing a number of witnesses, investigators were able to identify 20-year-old Dale D'Andrew Robinson as one of the two men involved. Witnesses told police Robinson and Glover were seen in the Secret Cove subdivision before and after the shooting. Phone records, video surveillance images helped confirm the two were responsible for the shooting death of Horace Scott while he sat on his front porch.

Investigators say the shooting occurred just after Scott sold synthetic marijuana, or K-2, to a witness. Neither the money or the K-2 the witness said he gave to Scott was found on him after the shooting.

"It is a tragedy that Mr. Scott was shot and killed standing on his own front porch, however, here is further proof that synthetic marijuana, or K-2, is not an innocuous substance. It is a dangerousillegal drug, and criminals who use it, possess it, or sell it, are documented violent offenders," saidSheriff Grady Judd.

Robinson is being charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.

Detectives are still looking for Glover, 20, and are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
