Lutz, Florida -- The vice-president and senior business director of a major banking corporation pleaded guilty Wednesday to misusing funds to pay for travel, entertainment and expenses.
The United States Attorney's Office arranged the plea agreement with Susan Emily Jones of Lutz who agreed to the terms which include paying restitution of over $824,000.
According to the plea agreement, while working at her position at Citicorp Service, Inc., Jones managed its employees and operations from Nov. 13, 2003, through Jan. 5, 2010.
During that time, Jones falsely led company employees to believe she was authorized to make certain expenditures of funds. She then used the money to pay for things such as Tampa Bay Buccaneers season tickets, personal credit card and auto-related expenses, charitable contributions, prepaid debit cards, travel and other personal expenses.
Jones, 50, also initiated the unauthorized transfer of funds from Citibank, N.A. reserve account to the Citicorp Services, Inc. account.
She also faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison.
