Tampa, FL-- Tampa Police are currently looking for a bank robbery suspect out of New Tampa, who may have stolen money with red dye on it.

According to reports, the suspect targeted the Pilot Bank near Highwoods Preserve Parkway just after 3 p.m. Thursday.

He walked in wearing all black and a ski mask, pointed a gun at the teller and demanded money. The tellertold officials the money given to the suspect was believed to have had a red dye pack with it.

Detectives ask for all area businesses to be on the lookout for anyone using red stained money to make purchases.

In the meantime, anyone with information on this crime or the suspect is asked to call Tampa Police.

The suspect has been described as follows:

  • Black male
  • 5'3"-5'4"
  • Thin build
  • Late teens to early 20s
  • Last seen wearing a black ski mask with mesh on the bottom around the mouth and a soft sock type top, black gloves, long black pants and a long sleeved black shirt with a hood
