Tampa, Florida -- Bob Diez gathered his team around him just outside the Chamberlain High School dugout Friday night during one of the middle innings. He wasn't thrilled.

"You're making them think they're good," he bellowed to his group of girls.

His Chamberlian Chiefs were leading Wiregrass Ranch 2-0 at the time, but that wasn't a safe enough cushion for the coaching legend.

After all, there was a lot on the line.

His girls held on for a historic win: Diez's 500th of his career.

The coach wore a microphone and let 10 News follow him around during the game to give viewers and softball fans an inside look at what it's like to coach in a milestone win.
