Sarasota, Florida -- Three woman came to the rescue as they witnessed a woman beat a disabled woman with a stick and rob her.
Sarasota Police say on the evening of Feb. 23, Cheryl and Tonia Priester and Patricia Robinson witnessed the incident between the two women in the 2400 block of Pershing Avenue and ran over to help the victim who was screaming for her attacker to stop.
As they approached, the attacker dropped the stick and ran away with the woman's cell phone and bag of personal items.
The GoodSamaritanswere able to identify the attacker to police as 36-year-old Donyelle Sims who is still on the loose.
The Sarasota Police Department is urging Donyelle Sims to turn herself in. If anyone has information about this crime or the location of Donyelle Sims please contact SPD at (941) 954-7025.
Police say Sims' victim, who suffers from a mental disability, received minor injuries to her arms, neck, shoulder and face as a result of the attack.
