Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Tarpon Springs High School was placed on a precautionary lock down after a suspicious package was delivered to the administrative office.
Authorities say a school administrator got concerned about the package because it had no visible return address and -- once delivered and partially opened -- exposed newspaper, duct tape and twine around it.The administrator put the package out near Gulf Road away from the school and called police.
After contacting postal inspectors about the delivery and a check by the bomb squad, Tarpon Springs Police officials reported the package was safe and a legitimate mail delivery.
Once it was cleared and opened, everyone got to see it contained a golden trophy with the name of an administrative office staff employee. There was no letter or any other information identifying who sent the package and, at this time, police say does not appear to have any criminal intent.
