Pinellas Park, Florida -- Pinellas Park Police have arrested a man for a shooting at a local apartment complex early Tuesday morning.

Police say three adults were in the apartment at Runaway Bay Apartments on 88th Avenue North when someone fired multiple shots at it around 4:14 a.m.

Based on information developed during the course of the investigation, Pinellas Park Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Daniel Damien Arocho Soto, of Tampa, for attempted first degree murder.

Soto exited a vehicle and fired multiple shots from a handgun at an adult male who was standing on a second floor balcony of the apartment complex.

No one was injured and the suspect fled the area.

Through investigative means, detectives were able to determine that Soto fled to the Yonkers, New York area where he has relatives.

At approximately 12:00 p.m. on April 3 law enforcement in Yonkers, New York, located Soto at a relative's residence. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held by authorities awaiting extradition back to Florida.
