Tampa, Florida -- The American Cancer Societyis enrolling people here in the Bay area in a historic nationwide study about how genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors may cause or prevent cancer.

People signed up in Pinellas earlier this year. Now, people who live in Hillsborough will have their turn.

Men and women ages 30-65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer can enroll in Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) at the following locations and times.

So far, 100,000 people across the U.S. have enrolled in CPS-3. The goal for Hillsborough Countyis to enroll900 participants for 2013.
