Pinellas Park, Florida -- Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the City Food Market located on 66th Street on April 2.
Around 8:30 p.m. a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered the City Food Market and confronted the clerk. According to reports, the suspect indicated that he had a gun in his sweatshirt and demanded money.
The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the store in a mid-size, white, four-door vehicle.
No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 25 years old, average build, wearing a white hoodie, khaki shorts, and black and white tennis shoes.
An armed robbery occurred at the same store on March 27. Around 11:45 p.m. the suspect was seen crouched down outside the store entrance. The suspect then walked in the store, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene on foot.
The suspect in this robbery is described as a black male, 18 to 25 years of age, average build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a black design, khaki shorts and black and white tennis shoes.
Detectives are investigating to see how or if the incidents are related or if it is the same suspect.
Detectives do believe the suspect is familiar with this geographical area.
